About Our Family

ryan on 185 float
Alaskan Guide, Ryan McCue, originally founded
RdM Pilot/Guide to ensure his future working in the most remote areas of Alaska. Like the travelers, he caters to, Ryan is drawn to wilderness that remains untouched by the hands of man. Almost a decade later, Ryan and his outdoor patrons from around the world continue to pioneer and enjoy the endless opportunities of the Alaskan Bush.

loren in winter

Ryan could never run this operation by himself, and relies heavily on his wife, Loren McCue, both as a business partner and mother of his children.

Loren came to Alaska 15 years ago on vacation, fell in love with the country, and never left. She has worked as a graphic designer here in Ketchikan for the past 12 years and has designed many local businesses logos, brochures and promotional packages.

Loren designed our website, logo, van, t-shirts, hats, brochures and all of our advertisements. She also teaches art at a local elementary school during the winter months.

She is the creative side of our Alaska Seaplane Tours family.

Meet Our Team

Marty fishing

Marty Rush

Marty, originally from Philadelphia, looks for any way to get into the real Alaska!

Seeing the potential in tourism and Seaplanes, Marty quickly became involved in the business by working for Cruise West, (a local cruise ship company) organizing tours. He was a valued employee for them, but thankfully, he now anchors the business end of Alaska Seaplane Tours!

Marty is a longtime friend and is so good at the job, that we no longer live without him!

Marty is an essential part of our team and our Alaska Seaplane Tours family!

Our Pilots

As our business grew so did our need for another plane and more pilots. Our pilots are hand picked by Ryan and are two of the best Alaska has to offer. We are lucky to have them!

Eric Dippold

Eric Dippold

Eric hails from Arizona and has flown with us for years. His love of flying and of Alaska brings him back every year! He is a professional seaplane pilot and an avid outdoorsman.

Tom on some ice

Tom Croffut

Tom is a second generation Alaskan pilot. He was born in Fairbanks and lives in Bethel, Alaska. He travels here to fly for us two weeks out of the month. He has lived and flown in the Alaskan Bush since he was eighteen years old! We are lucky to have this blue blood in our family.
